The Flood Saga, Days 8 - 11 — February 16-19, 2026:

Posted by Staff Writer on 20th Feb 2026

We spent FOUR WHOLE DAYS packing up the factory to move out. We put out a call for help and several of our friends in the community came to help. Among them, the owner (Bonnie Mullock) and staff of Bath Time — the other bath store on the Washington Street Mall.

We ordered some pizzas on Tuesday and made a party of it, enjoying some time together while tackling the big job! On Wednesday, a lunch for the whole crew was generously donated by our dear friend Cindy Huf, the owner of Good Scents in Cape May. The food definitely helped lift our spirits and give us the energy we needed to complete the work.

We filled over 200 boxes (15” x 15” x 15” each) with what we’re able to keep and got them stacked neatly in an undamaged section of the factory floor. We also disposed of two whole dumpsters full of non-salvageable stuff!

On Thursday, the moving company came and started hauling out all our furniture and fixtures. They’re here again today (Friday, 2/20) finishing the move-out. It all needs to be stored off-site until the work is complete — at which time we have the joy of having to re-install and unpack everything… that will be another “party.”

Now we have a couple of days of downtime before the remediation work (hopefully) begins on Monday. We’re crossing our fingers and toes for that to proceed smoothly and as quickly as possible.

We would like to thank everybody who came out to help. We are deeply touched and tremendously grateful for your love, support, and hard work. THANK YOU!
